Here at Max Cleavage we understand that breasts play an important role in helping women feel confident, feminine and sexy.  We believe that women of all shapes, sizes and ages have the right to pull off plunging necklines and teeny tiny bikinis. What we’re not so sure about is women resorting to boob jobs in order to feel good about their bodies. The procedure is invasive, painful, expensive and permanent. It can also result in an array of future problems and health issues that have to be dealt with. Yet despite this, boob jobs are becoming an increasingly popular option for girls who aren’t happy with their cup size. While some women swear by the procedure and are incredibly happy with the results, a boob job is not always the answer. In fact, according to recent research 20% of women who have undergone breast implant surgery have their implants removed within 10 years. Below are just a few of the reasons why a boob job isn’t as great as it might sound.

• A boob job involves extensive surgery and a long, painful recovery process. Is this really something you want to put yourself through?
• Boob jobs aren’t as simple as they may sound. The longer you have them the more likely it is a complication will arise. This can include ruptures, hardening of the breasts, rashes or irritation and inflammation. Implants can also move around and cause breasts to look uneven or deformed which completely defeats their original purpose.
• Your breasts may change naturally which could leave the implants looking unnatural. For example this could be due to pregnancy, weight loss/gain or age.
• Ruptured or leaking implants can be extremely dangerous to your health.
• Breast implants are not a lifetime solution. Additional surgery will generally be required and implants usually need to be replaced every 10 years or so.
• If you decide that implants are no longer for you the removal process can often leave breasts scarred and saggy. If you weren’t happy with your breasts before you definitely won’t be happy with the post-removal result.
• You’ll need to get silicone implants screened every two years for possible rupturing or damage. This can be costly and time consuming.
• Boob jobs can be expensive! They are also not generally covered by insurance so any post-job problems may come straight out of your pocket.
